Accounts and Office Administrator
Auckland Motorcycles & Power Sports Ltd is proud to be one of the largest bike dealerships in NZ. We are based in Khyber Pass, Newmarket in Auckland and are open 5 ½ days a week for business.
We are currently looking for a fulltime (5 day week) Accounts and Office Administrator reporting to and working closely with the in house accountant. This is a busy role and would suit a mature industrious person with a minimum of 3 years accounts experience.
An outline of the tasks and responsibilities for this role are as follows, and further detail will be given at time of interview.
Banking:
Daily Banking and balancing of 4 Tills with EFTPOS terminal settlements.
Sales Deposit processing.
Petty Cash and Change tin reconciling. |
Debtors:
Maintaining our customer base.
Monitoring and reconciling accounts as required.
Assistance to the Parts, Workshop and Sales department with queries on accounts.
Debt collection.
Month End reconciliation.
Running statements and sorting and mailing out to specific customers. |
Creditors:
Creditor account maintenance.
Processing of invoices (moderate volume) and reconciling month end balance to statements in preparation of payments for 20th.
Payment processing. |
Administration:
General admin duties encompassing:
Mail,
Typing,
Stationery, Printing.
Lunchroom supplies monitored and ordered as required.
Filing and Archiving.
Time Cards. |
Assistance to the Accountant:
Bank Reconciliations.
Cash payments by cheque or PC Banking.
Preparation and reconciliation of time cards for payroll.
Maintenance of spreadsheets if and when required.
Month end procedures.
Filing.
General assistance for accounting related matters. |
The successful applicant will possess the following attributes and skills:

- A good knowledge of accounting systems. Our accounting package is specific to our industry (WASP).
- Strong Word, Excel and data entry skills.
- Good time management, and able to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and excellent communication skills.
- Well organized and motivated, with the ability to multi task.
